Deputy Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said on Monday that the Islamic republic will not tolerate any "hostile coalition" against Tehran, Tehran Times daily reported.

"Iran will not allow a coalition to form against its interests by any country in or outside of the region," Araqchi made the remarks in a meeting with the visiting Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Maciej Lang.

Lang arrived in Tehran on Monday for talks with his Iranian counterpart following Iran's protest against Poland's decision to host a conference with the United States.

Araqchi said the crisis in the Middle East lies in the occupation of Palestinian lands by Israel.

"Another problem in the region is the U.S. adventurous policies. While the United States is after a complete demolition of the Iranian nuclear deal, which is the sole fruit of diplomacy and dialogue in this region, how could it claim to be trying to solve the region's problems?" Araqchi was quoted as saying.

On Jan. 12, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that Washington would jointly host a global summit in the Polish capital Warsaw on Feb. 13-14 focusing on Iran and its role in the Middle East region.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran has always sought peace and security in the region and has proven this in the campaign against terrorist groups such as Daesh (Islamic State)," Araqchi pointed out.

He said that "the Polish government should realize the true intentions of the American government by this conference and be careful about its consequences."

For his part, the Polish deputy foreign minister said that his country backs the Iranian nuclear deal and that the Warsaw conference "is not against any country including the Islamic Republic of Iran."

Poland considers Iran as an important player in the Middle East and the aim of the conference is to help resolve problems in the region, he said.

"Poland as a friend of Iran will not allow any move against Iran," he emphasized.
