German shares close flat Thursday
German stocks closed flat on Thursday, with the benchmark DAX index down 4.73 points, or 0.04 percent, to close at 10,924.70 points.
Material manufacturer Covestro lost 2.63 percent, the top loser among the blue chips, followed by European health care company Fresenius SE and multinational building materials company HeidelbergCement, which lost 2.38 percent and 1.56 percent respectively.
Automotive manufacturer BMW gained 1.94 percent, becoming the top gainer. Energy groups RWE and E.ON advanced 1.90 percent and 1.41 percent respectively.
Chemical group BASF was the most traded share with a turnover of 226.5 million euros (257.5 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
