Canadian stock market tumbles amid investor worries
Canadian main stock market tumbled Thursday due to investor worries about possible economic slowdown.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's benchmark Standard & Poor's/TSX Composite Index fell 134.41 points, or 0.94 percent, to close the day at 14,212.75 points.
The Canadian dollar climbed 0.83 cents to 0.74.19 U.S. dollar.
Aurora Cannabis Inc. fell 18 cents to 6.91 Canadian dollars on 7.8 million shares.
Barrick Gold Corp. lost 24 cents to 17.57 Canadian dollars on 7.7 million shares.
Bombardier Inc. climbed two cents to 2.15 Canadian dollars on six million shares.
HEXO Corp. added 34 cents to 5.55 Canadian dollars on 5.5 million shares.
The Toronto Dominion Bank. fell 95 cents to 67.30 Canadian dollars on 5.4 million shares.
