British stocks down 0.39 pct Monday
British stocks decreased on Monday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.39 percent, or 26.54 points, to close at 6,810.88 points.
Smurfit Kappa Group, a leading corrugated packaging company, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 5.20 percent. Imperial Brands, a British multinational tobacco company, dropped 4.99 percent. Centrica, a British multinational energy and services company, fell 4.41 percent.
NMC Health, a private healthcare services provider, soared 7.33 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Fresnillo and Antofagasta increased by 4.66 percent and 3.03 percent respectively. Enditem
