German shares down 0.18 Monday
German stocks edged down on Monday, with the benchmark DAX index down 19.88 points, or 0.18 percent, to close at 10,747.81 points.
Multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer lost 1.59 percent, the top loser among the blue chips, followed by manufacturing and electronics company Siemens and reinsurance company Munich Re, which lost 1.31 percent and 1.28 percent respectively.
Semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies gained 3.62 percent, the top gainer. Global internet technology and financial services provider Wirecard and Deutsche Bank advanced 2.40 percent and 1.55 percent respectively.
Siemens was the most traded share, with a turnover of 240.8 million euros (275.5 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
