India's economic growth rate is estimated to stand at 7.2 percent in 2018-2019, figures have shown.

The figures released Monday by India's Central Statistics Office (CSO) showed that gross domestic product (GDP) growth estimate for 2018-2019 at 7.2 percent.

"The growth in GDP during 2018-2019 is estimated at 7.2 percent as compared to the growth rate of 6.7 percent in 2017-2018," said the CSO in its release.
