Spanish shares gained on Tuesday with the benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 up 0.81 percent, or 71 points, to a total of 8,847.30 points.

A total of 30 of the selected 35 large companies gained in the day.

Hotel chain Melia Hotels advanced 3.01 percent, being the top gainer of the day. Automotive company CIE Automotive rose 2.84 percent and technology solutions provider Amadeus went up 2.54 percent.

Media company Mediaset lost 0.41 percent, followed by energy company Iberdrola and telecommunication company Cellnex which were down 0.37 percent and 0.21 percent respectively. Enditem
