US stocks still pressured as federal shutdown drags on

U.S. stocks shaved earlier losses but still ended in negative territory Wednesday, as the U.S. government shutdown entered its second day. The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 58.56 points, or 0.39 percent, to 15,133.14 points. The Standard & Poor's 500-stock Index dipped 1.13 points, or 0.07 percent, to 1,693.87 points.
