A museum worker moves the mummy of a dog, dating from between 1100 and 1300, from the Chiribaya culture at El Algarrobal museum, near the port of Ilo in southern Peru September 12, 2006. The dogs, which helped in herding llamas in the pre-Hispanic culture that predated the Incas, were given special treatment when they died. Their mummified bodies were given their own burial with food and blankets to keep them warm in the afterlife. The cat, Ali, is kept by the museum to catch mice. [Reuters]
