Britney Spears suffered another legal setback when the fallen pop star failed to regain the right to see her two young sons during a custody hearing on Tuesday, media reported.
Los Angeles Superior Court spokesman Alan Parachini told reporters there had been no change in the orders handed out by the family judge who last month stripped Spears of her visiting rights to see Sean Preston, 2 and Jayden James, 1.
The 26-year-old pop star hasn't been allowed to see her two sons since an incident at her home that led to the first of her two hospitalizations in a psychiatric facility this year and a decision by another court to put her father, James Spears, in charge of her affairs.
Though ex-husbnd Kevin Federline wanted Spears to have some access to their sons, lawyers for the two sides could not agree on the visitation terms, according to celebrity website TMZ.com.
The court also denied a motion by Spears' lawyer to issue a gag order to keep attorneys from talking to the media but it granted a request for Spears to change her lawyer from Anne Kiley of Los Angeles-based firm Trope & Trope to new attorney Stacy Phillips.
Spears, who is under conservatorship, and Federline weren't present for the hearing.
