Bishkek will host the International Grand Prix Tournament on Alysh (belt wrestling) to mark the 50th anniversary of Bayaman Erkinbayev, the press service of the State Agency for Youth, Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic reported on Thursday.
Except wrestlers from the regions of the country, the tournament will bring together representatives of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Belarus, Moldova, Russia, Iran, Indonesia, Bulgaria, Lithuania, India, Serbia, Germany, Pakistan and other countries.
A judicial seminar will be also held on March 14-15 within the tournament, organized by the Directorate for National Sports under the State Agency for Youth, Physical Culture and Sports and Federation of Alysh of Kyrgyzstan.
The international tournament is funded by the Directorate for National Sports of Kyrgyzstan.
The tournament is dedicated to the memory of Kyrgyz public figure, the founder of the alysh Bayaman Erkinbayev.
