After earning gold at the 13th National Games, China's synchronized swimming star sisters Jiang Wenwen and Jiang Tingting has been back in training, aiming at the World Championships soon after.

The twin sisters used to be the leading figures of China's synchronized swimming squad. They made history by ranking fourth in the free combination event at the Beijing Olympics. They retired after the National Games in 2013, but both decided to make a comeback to fulfill their dreams in 2015 after having daughters.

"The World Championships is knocking at the door, so the twins just had a short break after National Games and came back to training soon." said Zheng Jia, their coach.

According to Zheng Jia, the twins are at the stage of increasing the amount of training. They practice the details of some movements over and over again, especially some actions used to link up.

In the past, Jiang Wenwen and Jiang Tingting were known for extraordinary artistic expression. But now their physical power is catching up. "So we can increase the difficulty of our routine." Jiang Wenwen said.

"Our difficulty degree right now is almost the same as the Russian team in 2016 Rio Games, which we will keep in the World Championships." said Jiang Tingting.

Through this period of training, Zheng hope that the twin sisters are able to make a further step in the accuracy and proficiency of the routine. "They will appear to be different in the World Championships." she said.
