Government-controlled Emirates Post Group (EPG) in Abu Dhabi said on Thursday it has suspended postal services to Qatar from all of its postal offices in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) until further notice, state news agency WAM reported.

All letters and packages with stamps from June 6 with destination to Qatar have been already withheld, said EPG.

The UAE has halted all flights to Qatar, and Qatari aircraft like those of Qatar Airways are likewise not allowed to enter UAE airspace.

Qatari nationals were given on Monday 14 days to leave the UAE. Qataris from abroad are no longer allowed to travel to the UAE.

Earlier the week, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, UAE, Yemen, Egypt, Libya, Mauritania and the Maldives cut diplomatic ties with Qatar, accusing the Gulf state of supporting "terrorism and extremism," the official Saudi news agency SPA said in a statement on Monday.

Moreover, Jordan has reduced its diplomatic representation in Qatar.
