Albania's turnover volume index of retail trade increases by 2.7 pct in Q1
Albania's turnover volume index of retail trade in the first quarter of 2017 rose 2.7 percent year-on-year and increased 0.6 percent from the previous quarter, data published by the National Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) showed Wednesday.
Meanwhile, employment rose 1.5 percent year-on-year, but fell by 2.1 percent compared to the previous quarter.
The wage fund index rose 0.5 percent year-on-year, but fell by 1.4 percent compared to the previous quarter.
In its June 2017 Global Economic Prospects report, the World Bank confirmed that the Albanian economy is forecasted to grow 3.5 percent in 2017, boosted by the expected completion of a number of major projects in tourism, energy and infrastructure.
