At least two people were arrested Saturday evening as two competing demonstrations organized by supporters and foes of President Donald Trump faced off in Hollywood then turned into a chaos.

According to a report of NBC LA, the local anti-Trump protest, organized by Refuse Fascism L.A., was part of a nationwide protest joined by demonstrations in other cities, including New York, Philadelphia, Houston and Atlanta.

However, two hours before the anti-Trump demonstration started at around mid-afternoon, dozens of Trump's supporters showed up in Hollywood Boulevard around Trump's Hollywood Walk of Fame sidewalk star.

When the estimated 100 anti-Trump demonstrators marched down Hollywood Boulevard, the pro-Trump people trailed them.

In video clips posted on social media, two groups faced off at last around Trump's star, shouting slogans and waving signs.

"No KKK. No fascist U.S.A. No Trump!" one side chanted.

"U.S.A. U.S.A. U.S.A.!" the other side countered, "Donald Trump. Donald Trump. Donald Trump!"

It wasn't long before face-to-face shouting matches flared up down the sidewalk. Police then arrested two pro-Trump demonstrators alleged hitting opponents with fists and moved the two crowds roughly 10 meters apart in the middle of Hollywood Boulevard closed off to cars.

Clash between Trump's supporters and dissenters near Trump's Hollywood star has become a common thing since the 45th U.S. President took office in January.

Last October, Los Angeles man James Otis, dressing as a construction worker, took a pickax to destroy the star. Otis struck a plea deal with prosecutors in February that saw him avoid jail time in exchange for paying 4,400 U.S. dollars to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and the Hollywood Historic Trust.

Trump was honored with the star in 2007 for his work producing the Miss Universe pageant and for his hit NBC reality television show The Apprentice.
