Eric Gordon hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to help the Houston Rockets claim a 105-104 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday.

It was a particularly tough loss for the 76ers, who led 104-96 with three minutes to play. The Rockets went on a 9-0 run to seal the game, capped off by Gordon's three-pointer.

"It's a learning experience," 76ers star Joel Embiid said. "We're going to need that in the future. We're young. That's not an excuse, but we can all get better."

For the 76ers, J.J. Redick was the high-man on 22 points, while Embiid chipped in with 21 points. Ben Simmons finished with 14 points, seven rebounds, and nine assists for the 76ers, but saw his streak of four straight double-doubles to open the season broken. The point guard shot just 7-of-17 from the field as the 76ers moved to 1-4 on the season.

Gordon led the way for the Rockets with 29 points including the game-winner, while James Harden poured in 27 points and 13 assists of his own. "You've got to be prepared to try and knock down shots like that," Gordon said. "You miss it, you miss it. For us to be a good team, we have to win in games like this," said Gordon.
