BEIJING, Oct. 30 (China Economic Net) - Pakistani business community has appreciated the efforts of the Chinese government in bringing them back to resume their business activities here. A special flight of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) with 255 passengers including more than 100 businessmen on board landed at Shuangliu International Airport, Chengdu, China on Thursday.

Talking to China Economic Net, Abdullah Afridi CEO of Combine Group of companies, in Keqiao Shaoxing Zhejiang province said he can't explain his feelings that how much happy and excited he is. He said that the epidemic situation is under control in China and Pakistan that's why we came back and it is indeed a much happier time for our business community.

"When we arrived at Chengdu airport, I posted my picture on WeChat moments, and when I reached my hotel more than 100 Chinese friends had sent me messages. They were happy for my return to China and were sending best wishes to me", he mentioned.

Abdullah told CEN, that COVID-19 has changed the style of business, and actually, business community is not sure if they order some products, whether that can be received timely or not at the desired destination because of the lockdown and lack of transportation facilities.

"We business community appreciate the Pakistani "Smart Lockdown" strategy that helped to control coronavirus pandemic and now we can resume our business countrywide and internationally" he stated.

He said that after one month of lockdown he started his business because he has Chinese partners who helped a lot to receive goods and due to the high cost of transposition the prices of the products also increased but hope by the end of this year everything will get back to normal.

"Pakistan textile industry has boosted its production capacity, In September, Gul Ahmed a well-known brand made a world record to produce 0.75 million meters fabric in one month, while 0.25 million meters per day, 10,416 meters per hour and 173 meters per minute", he added.

"I’m glad to get back to China and will resume my business after completing the required period of quarantine. The facilities of quarantine here are much advanced and the Chinese authorities are taking good care of Pakistanis", said Mahmood Khan CEO of Abdul Quddus and Company.

He said that he and his colleagues are thankful to the Pakistani and the Chinese government for providing us an opportunity to come back and re-open our businesses.

"Chinese government always support and encourage Pakistani importers. We are impressed by the efforts and cooperation of both governments. At this time, Pakistan really needs an iron brother like China and we are hopeful that the relationship between these two countries will further strengthen with time."
