The Norwegian swimming federation said on Tuesday that world champion Alexander Dale Oen had died after suffering a cardiac arrest during a training camp in Flagstaff, Arizona. He was 26.
The federation said that the 100 meters breaststroke world champion was found collapsed on the floor of his bathroom on Monday. He was taken to the Flagstaff Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Dale Oen, silver medalist in the 2008 Olympic Games, won the world title in Shanghai last July. |
