Trade deficit of France narrowed by 376 million euros (493.48 million U.S. dollars) to stand at 4.33 billion euros at the end of November on less purchases, according to data released by customs services on Tuesday.
For the past 12 months, the cumulated trade deficit climbed to 65.82 billion euros in total.
The customs recorded foreign sales worth 36.49 billion euros over the period, thanks to good performance in aeronautical exports and better trade results with Asian markets.
At the end of November, Airbus generated 2.51 billion euros after offering 30 aircrafts, compared with 27 units worth 1.63 billion euros sold in October.
Falling purchases of refined petroleum products pulled down the country's total imports by 3.35 percent to 40.82 billion euros.
According to 2012 budget draft, trade gap would stand at 73.8 billion euros in the new year, slightly up from 73.1 billion euros expected in 2011. (1 euro = 1.312 U.S. dollar)
