Tokyo stocks opened mixed Friday with the key Nikkei index up 0.03 percent on discouraging earnings by domestic firms.
At 9:15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average advanced 2.95 points from Thursday to 8,852.42.
The broader Topix index contracted 0.58 point, or 0.08 percent, to 764.03. |
