Forum focuses on Chinese paintings, calligraphy
Last Updated(Beijing Time):2018-07-04 16:10
A forum held in Nantou County, Taiwan brought together Chinese mainland and Taiwanese artists to discuss and promote Chinese paintings and calligraphy.

"People from the mainland and Taiwan share the same language and culture, and they should strive to promote Chinese culture and history together," said Wang Wen-hung, the event's organizer.

Jolly Ni, a calligrapher from the mainland, said that he hopes to have more communication with his peers from Taiwan via similar activities.

A painting and calligraphy "creation base" was also unveiled at the event. Wang said the base will help facilitate more cross-strait activities in the future.

"I hope the artists will create more great works at the base to bring more color to Chinese culture," Wang said.
