Chinese consumer durables major Skyworth and Metz, the premium German brand, have jointly launched their six models of OLED (organic LED) TV sets in the Indian capital.

Skyworth is a market leader in China, and also the fifth largest LED TV manufacturer in the world. It acquired Metz in 2015.

Speaking at the launch ceremony Tuesday, President of Skyworth and Metz Overseas Johnny Wang said India is the third largest market in the world for LED TVs. With a burgeoning middle class, increase in high disposable income, and steady increase in TV viewership, India is poised for substantial growth, he added.

"Entering in the Indian market at this time, Skyworth and Metz aim to provide the highest consumer satisfaction with technologically advanced products, high quality and value for money," he said.

Under the global expansion plan for Skyworth, the launch of Metz brand in India is very strategic decision, said CEO of Skyworth India Electronics Private Ltd. Amitabh Tiwari.

He added: "We are very confident that contemporary design, technology, product innovation, the value delivery by Metz brand, will be a great success in Indian market."

Bundled with precise picture and color quality, simple look, and easy-to-ease smart features, the new range of Skyworth and Metz will allow the Indian consumers to access all content in one place, said a joint statement.
