Transport logistic, the international exhibition for logistics, mobility, IT and supply chain management, opened its door on Tuesday in the southern German city of Munich.

The event, which is held every two years in Munich, has attracted around 2,300 exhibitors across the world. Among them, about 60 exhibitors come from China, almost double so many as in the previous event, the organizer said.

"Growth comes mainly from European markets, but participation from China has almost doubled," an official statement read.

The organizer said that major market players will make use of the chance to discuss Europe's opportunities against the background of the Belt and Road Initiative, the shortage of skilled workers, paths to smart city logistics and the specific logistics trends on road and rail, water and air, among other things.

Transport logistic is a leading trade fair for freight transport by road, rail, water and in the air, in all its complexity. In 2017 more than 60,726 visitors from 123 countries and regions, as well as 2,162 exhibitors from 62 countries and regions attended the event. Enditem
