PESHAWAR, Oct.14 (Gwadar Pro) - Special Assistant to Prime Minister on CPEC Affairs Khalid Mansoor has asked relevant authorities to promote Rashakai Special Economic Zone (RSEZ) globally through a “strong marketing strategy” to attract foreign investment.
Khalid Mansoor visited RSEZ on Wednesday to review the progress of the development of the zone. He held meetings with Advisor to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Industries Abdul Karim Tordher and officials from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management Company (KPEZDMC), Rashakai Special Economic Zone Development and Operations Company (RSEZDOC) and China Road and Bridge Company (CRBC) and discussed the progress of development of the Zone and marketing strategies.
Mr. Mansoor emphasized the need for vocational training of locals to meet the future skilled work force requirement of industries in the RSEZ.
A team of RSEZDOC briefed Khalid Mansoor on RSEZ through a detailed presentation on development work progress, marketing strategy adopted for the promotion of the zone, enterprises currently working and new enterprises in the zone and issues related to the zone.

Abdul Karim Tordher informed the SAPM on CPEC Affairs that the provision of utilities like electricity and gas were progressing as per agreed timelines, adding that the necessary infrastructure was put in place and work was progressing smoothly.
The visiting official was informed that eight enterprises were allotted industrial plots while a large number of investors had indicated their interest and applied for allotment of industrial plots.
SAPM Khalid Mansoor also visited the construction site of the Steel factory by Century Steel, which is the first enterprise to have started its construction activity in RSEZ.
RSEZ is a prioritized special economic zone under CPEC framework with an area of 1000 acres. Upon colonization, the zone will provide 200,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities to the locals, according to official statement.
