LAHORE, Jan 27 (China Economic Net)-Lahore Overseas Chinese Association (LOCA) and Confucius Institute at University of Punjab (CIPU) jointly held a series of activities to celebrate the 2022 Spring Festival on Sunday. Activities include posting Spring Festival couplets, hanging lanterns, making dumplings, guessing riddles, sending blessings, telling Chinese stories and other wonderful activities full of Chinese New Year festive elements. The activity wall displayed traditional Chinese cultural works handmade by Confucius Institute students, such as Chinese paper-cuts, ink paintings, Chinese knots, Peking Opera faces, etc. The exquisite and creative works attracted all the audiences’ attention.  

 

 

Luo Jianxue, President, LOCA thanks his motherland for her deep concern for overseas compatriots. He said that in the new year, he would continue to lead overseas Chinese in Lahore to live and work better, add luster to China-Pakistan economic and trade cooperation and create a better future together.

 

 

Rana Eijaz Ahmad, Pakistani Dean of CIPU and Cai Jinbao, Chinese Dean of CIPU wished the Chinese people an auspicious New year. CIPU will continue to remember its original ideals and aspirations, bear in mind its mission, teach Chinese language, spread Chinese culture, tell good Chinese stories, and further strengthen Pak-China friendship!
