ISLAMABAD, Feb. 6 (Gwadar Pro) - The Opening Ceremony of Beijing Olympics 2022 has wowed a great number of Pakistani audiences. The ceremony, which was attended by Prime Minister Imran Khan and other world leaders, was widely seen across the country.

 

It was noticed that the spectacular ceremony has further enhanced the image of China as one of the most dominating nations in the field of sports and connectivity.

 

While talking with the cross section of the people including athletes, businessmen and media personnel, it was observed that the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics left a good global impact and it was hoped that China’srole as a friendly and supporting country in various fields will be further increase.

 

A large number of Pakistani youth were impressed by how the Chinese managed everything so perfectly especially during the difficult COVID times. A group of students from a renowned university in Islamabad commented that China has made so much effort to bring the world together, and made people smile. “We were honored to watch the Beijing Olympics,”they said.

 

A top business leader and a former President of Chambers of Commerce and Industry Zafar Bakhtawri told Gwadar Pro in Islamabad that he was highly impressed to see the variety of events during the Olympics and he is convinced that those countries which were opposing Winter Olympics have only biasedness against China.

 

Zafar Bakhtwari said that it was a great pride for Pakistan that Prime Minister Imran Khan was invited to the opening ceremony and it reflected that Sino-Pak friendship is fast growing and it has an significance worldwide.

 

He also appreciated President Xi Jinping at the opening ceremony and said that he conveyed China’smessage to the world that China will keep on working to promote friendship and bringing the countries closer to each other in all fields.

 

Senior leader of media community in Islamabad Nawaz Raza said that he also witnessed the Olympics Opening Ceremony and he was happy to note that the sports arrangements were wonderful and had some unique features.

 

He further said that China has established its leadership role in all fields including sports. China, he added proved its strength and potential in raising such an event.

 

Former President of the Islamabad Press Club Shakeel Anjum was also all praise for the Beijing Olympics and he commented on the events stating that it once again demonstrated China’s ability to hold international events of high magnitude.

 

While commenting on the event Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed told Gwadar Pro that he also witnessed the ceremony and it was fantastic in every way specially pre-sports celebrations were highly impressive.

 

He said China’s role as a world leader is highly remarkable in promoting friendship, connectivity and social economic partnership.

 

“Beijing Olympics 2022 also augmented the concept of the Belt and Road initiative (BRI) connecting the entire world community through all means of communication and activities,”he further added.

 

Earlier Prime Minister Imran Khan congratulated the Chinese leadership and People of China on successful hosting of the 24th Olympic Winter Games in Beijing and extended his best wishes on the Chinese Lunar New Year.

 

The Beijing Winter Olympics features 109 events of 15 disciplines across seven sports. It is taking place from February 4 to 20 in three competition zones in downtown Beijing, Beijing's northwest suburban district of Yanqing and Zhangjiakou in neighboring Hebei Province.

 

The motto of Beijing 2022 is "Together for a Shared Future."
