According to Syrian state media, the United States forces have been stealing the country's oil resources since 2015, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in Syria. Data shows that in 2021, Syria produced about 85,900 barrels of oil per day, of which 70,000 barrels were looted by the US and its backed forces, leaving less than 16,000 barrels available for the domestic market.
