1. Foreign investors still have full confidence in the Chinese economy

 

China has expanded its opening to the outside world, refined its business environment, and continued to encourage foreign investment in manufacturing, producer services, as well as in the central, western and northeastern regions. It has made every effort to ensure the production and operation of foreign-funded enterprises, which has strengthened the confidence of foreign investors to develop in China. Foreign capital that firmly embraces the Chinese market will surely reap huge benefits.

 

2. Guide the sound development of capital in accordance with the law

 

China will regulate and guide the sound development of capital by adhering to the market-oriented and law-based principles. Following the guidance of property rights protection, contract relationship maintenance, unified domestic market, equal trading, fair competition, and effective supervision, China must do a good job in the formulation, revision, abolition and explanation of relevant laws and regulations. It is necessary to strictly regulate the capital market at the entry point and improve the market access system.

 

 

1. The State Council approved three national demonstration zones at Harbin, Daqing and Qiqihar High-tech industrial development zones in Heilongjiang province, Northeast China.

 

2. The General Office of the State Council issued the "Guidelines on Further Unleashing Consumption Potential and Promoting Continued Recovery of Consumption", proposing to build several duty-free shops within cities and improve related policies to develop pro-consumption platforms.

 

 

1. Data from the Ministry of Commerce shows that from January to April this year, China's actual use of foreign capital was RMB 478.61 billion, a year-on-year increase of 20.5%.

4. Data from the National Bureau of Statistics showed that from January to April this year, China's Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose by 1.4% year-on-year. In April, China’s CPI grew by 2.1% year-on-year. 

 

5. From January to April this year, China's electricity consumption totaled 2,680.9 billion kWh, up 3.4% year-on-year, according to the National Energy Administration.

 

6. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, from January to April this year, China's investment in real estate development amounted to RMB 3,915.4 billion, down 2.7% year-on-year; among them, residential investment was RMB 2,952.7 billion, down 2.1%.

 

7. From January to April this year, the gross income of China's postal industry (excluding the direct income of the Postal Savings Bank) totaled RMB 421.97 billion, a year-on-year increase of 6.3%; the total business volume reached RMB 434.45 billion, a year-on-year increase of 6.0%.

 

8. According to the Ministry of Natural Resources, China's marine economy totaled RMB 2 trillion in the first quarter of this year, up 4.1% year-on-year.

 

9. According to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, from January to April this year, China's automobile production and sales reached 7.69 million and 7.691 million, down 10.5% and 12.1% year-on-year, respectively.

 

10. From January to April this year, the contract value of service outsourcing undertaken by Chinese enterprises reached RMB 589.9 billion, and the executed value reached RMB 387.2 billion, a year-on-year increase of 8.8% and 15.3% respectively, as data from the Ministry of Commerce showed.
