Confucius Institute helps flood victims in Pakistan

KARACHI, Sept. 22. (Gwadar Pro)- The Chinese faculty of the Confucius Institute at the University of Karachi (CIUK) donated PRK 600,000 to the flood-affected people in Pakistan on Tuesday.
 
 
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nasiruddin Khan, the Pakistani director of CIUK, handed over the donation on behalf of the Chinese teachers to Prof. Dr. Khalid Mahmood Iraqi, Vice Chancellor of the University of Karachi.
 
Prof. Zhang Xiaoping, the Chinese director of CIUK, said the Chinese teachers of CIUK are concerned about the Pakistani people who have suffered huge losses in the flood and are taking actions to help the disaster-stricken people.
 
 
Prof. Dr. Khalid Mahmood Iraqi appreciated the kindness of the Chinese teachers and said that the University of Karachi would extend full support to Confucius Institute and educational exchanges between China and Pakistan.
 
The University of Karachi has opened a special account for flood relief and donations to help the flood victims.
