The Successful Hosting of the Smart Classroom Project Training

Recently, The Smart Classroom Project training courses aided by the Chinese government were successfully held at the Higher Education Commission (HEC) in Islamabad.

This project is a livelihood project initiated under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Thanks to China's advanced communication technology, teachers will be able to use the network and cloud technology to transform the traditional teaching forms into a modern digital distance teaching form, so as to realize the sharing of the high-quality educational resources in Pakistan among different colleges and campuses. Promoting hybrid online and offline teaching to comprehensively improve the learning experience of students, helping to reduce the cost of higher education in Pakistan and improve the quality of teaching, and expanding the reach of quality resource education.

The main part of the Smart Classroom Project is now nearing completion and the training courses are planned to be divided into nine batches for training according to the progress of the project. As of July 12, the first four batches of training courses have been completed, and the fifth batch started on July 17 and has so far gone very well. The training covered 300 teachers in 100 classrooms across 50 universities. During the training period, under the guidance of the Chinese personnel, Pakistani teachers learned the use and maintenance of the smart classroom system equipment, the use of virtual classroom software and virtual management software. After the training, the teachers can skillfully use the smart classroom system for distance teaching.

The completion and training of this project is of great significance to strengthen the friendship between China and Pakistan, deepening the all-weather strategic partnership between China and Pakistan, promoting the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor to achieve substantial results in the field of social and people's livelihood cooperative education, and facilitating the effective integration of Chinese culture and ideas, Chinese high-quality teaching resources and Pakistani higher education. China will continue to provide reliable support for the development of higher education talent in Pakistan.
