This year, CIFTIS brings diversified opportunities not only for multinational companies, traders, exhibitors, but also visitors from many countries. Malik, a Pakistani observer, showed great interest in Xinjiang products.

Xinjiang is neighboring Pakistan with a similar climate and rich natural resources. Cotton, as one of the main cash crops, feels rather familiar to Malik. He discovered that Xinjin-made products such as cloth and towels were very popular. “I have touched the contton and I know the quality of Xinjiang cotton is just as good as our local cotton. It is absolutely genuine and pure, grown as it should be without contamination, and it is natural, with no chemical dyes used.

“ I am drinking tomato juice for the first time in my life!” Malik excitedly sampled a variety of food products at the stall, all made from tomatoes, such as juices, jams and even Lycopene capsules. Tomatoes are also widely cultivated in Pakistan. That made Malik sense a business opportunity. “We can import these products to Pakistan and also export them from Pakistan. All that is required is that we establish at least as many joint ventures with Xinjiang as possible. There should be cooperation between different companies so that we can benefit from their development as a neighboring country.” he added.

Many foods in Xinjiang are halal, which is quite to Pakistan's taste. As a food lover from Pakistan, Malik feels right at home. “Coming to this stall makes you feel like you are walking into a market in Pakistan. The cultures of Xinjiang and Pakistan are very similar, and both traditions are closely related to each other. Whenever you come to the majority of places in Xinjiang, you will feel free to buy whatever you want because they are all halal, durable and reliable.”
