1. Local high-speed rail construction calls for investment and financing system reform
Modifications in the high-speed rail construction pattern have raised the bar for the transformation of railway investment and financing structures. According to real-world experience from a variety of locations, defining the investment entities and responsibilities, coming up with creative financing solutions, introducing diversified investment entities, opening up new financing channels, and increasing the effectiveness of fund utilization are all essential to furthering the reform of the railway investment and financing system.
2.Overcoming the bottleneck of humanoid robot commercialization
Cost cutting is essential for the humanoid robot business to develop sustainably. Products must satisfy the needs of high performance, low cost, and mass production from R&D to widespread use.
Policy
1. The measures supporting low-altitude economy development in Xiong'an New Area were officially released on July 5, including 12 policy measures, such as supporting the registration of low-altitude economy innovation entities in the new area, facilitating the establishment of public service platforms, and accelerating the introduction of low-altitude economy talents.
2. China held a founding ceremony on July 5, marking the official establishment of a special fund to revitalize the land assets of state-owned enterprises (SOEs). Approved by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, the fund is worth RMB 30 billion (about USD 4.2 billion).
3. China's central bank said it will carry out temporary repos or reverse repos based on market conditions starting from July 8. The move aims to keep liquidity reasonable and ample in the banking system and improve the accuracy and effectiveness of open market operations.

1.The 2024 World Intelligence Conference opened on July 4 in Shanghai. China's computility ranked second in the world, as the head of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology revealed.
2. According to the National Immigration Administration, during the first half of this year, a total of 14.635 million foreign nationals were recorded as entry travelers in China, reflecting a 152.7 percent year-on-year increase. Among them, 8.542 million were visa-free travelers, accounting for 58 percent, with the entry figure rising 190.1 percent year-on-year.
3. Data released by the Israel Vehicle Importers Association showed that Chinese brands topped the Israeli vehicle sales in the first half of 2024, and China became the first major vehicle supplier to Israel.
4. Hong Kong vehicles had made more than 1 million cross-border trips via Zhuhai Port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge as of 17:35 on July 7, under the Northbound Travel for Hong Kong vehicles program which was implemented on July 1 2023. The monthly growth rate of Hong Kong vehicles entering and leaving the SAR via the bridge has reached 33.8 percent.
5. Data released by the Ministry of Public Security showed that by the end of June, the number of vehicles on road in China was 440 million, and the number of drivers hit 532 million. During the first half of 2024, around 16.8 million new vehicles were registered, with 13.97 million new drivers.
6. According to the China Futures Association, the total transaction value of futures market hit RMB 281.51 trillion during the January-June period, up 7.40 percent year-on-year.
7. European aircraft manufacturer Airbus delivered its 700th A320 family aircraft assembled at its final assembly line in Tianjin on July 8.
8. The China Development Bank issued RMB 154.1 billion of loans in the energy infrastructure of power, oil and gas, strengthening financial support for new energy system for the national energy security.
9. The number of China's newly registered drones exceeded 600,000 in the first half of this year, and the total number of drones increased by 48 percent compared with the end of last year.
10.The 2024 water replenishing project aiming to supply water to the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal has been successfully finished recently. The project started in late February, and since March 20, the canal has had water flowing through it for more than 100 days for the first time.
