State Grid Tangyin Battling the Lingering Summer Heat to Ensure Reliable Power Supply
On the morning of August 20, the State Grid Tangyin County Power Supply Company organized a team to inspect the 110kV Substation downtown. This inspection was aimed at ensuring the stable operation of the primary grid equipment, thereby providing reliable and cool electricity to the residents. Since the beginning of autumn, the company has taken proactive measures to maintain the safe and stable operation of the power grid during the lingering late-summer heat, often referred to as the “Autumn Tiger” in Chinese—a period marked by a brief resurgence of high temperatures.
The company has enhanced monitoring of the grid’s operations, closely tracking load changes and making scientific adjustments to the grid’s operational mode. A special focus has been placed on intensifying inspections of transmission and distribution lines and equipment within their jurisdiction. These efforts are designed to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards promptly.
In response to the high temperatures typical of this season, the company has also maintained close communication with meteorological departments. This collaboration ensures timely weather updates, enabling the company to adjust the grid's operation scientifically. Additionally, the company has reinforced a 24-hour duty system, ensuring that repair personnel, tools, and vehicles are all in place, thus laying a solid foundation for the safe and stable operation of the power grid.
