BEIJING, Sept 16 (China Economic Net) - At the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), Pakistani officials and delegates embraced Chinese traditions by enjoying mooncakes during Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations.

 

Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi said that over the years, the two countries have been cooperating closely in various fields such as politics, economy, and culture, and have achieved fruitful results. This profound friendship has not only benefited the people of both countries but also made important contributions to regional peace and development.

 

“On the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival, on behalf of the Pakistani government, I would like to extend my most sincere wishes to you all. The Mid-Autumn Festival is a festival for family reunions,” he added.

He hoped that on this beautiful festival, all families are happy and enjoy the joy together. “May the friendship between China and Pakistan continue to deepen and we jointly create a better tomorrow, just like the bright and long-lasting moon.”

 

Jai Kumar, Chairman of International Innovation Park Limited, said that eating mooncakes as a gesture of unity showcased the deepening friendship and mutual respect between Pakistan and China, further strengthening ties through cultural diplomacy. The mooncake celebrations at CIFTIS emphasized the importance of shared traditions in fostering closer bilateral relations.

 

Pakistani guests told CEN that on the traditional occasion of the Mid Autumn Festival, they ate cakes during the CIFTIS. Pakistani guests also partake in the time-honored custom of sharing mooncakes.
