1. Propel the rise of central region
At present, the development of China's central region is facing difficulties such as uneven development, insufficient intra-regional cooperation, etc. Therefore, consistent efforts need to be made to make better use of location advantages, turn resource advantages into development advantages, so as to accelerate the rise of the central region.
2. To promote digital transformation of manufacturing sector in the digital trend
China will advance the digital transformation of its manufacturing industry, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Empowered by 5G-plus industrial internet and artificial intelligence, China will speed up the application of digital technology in the whole chain of manufacturing industry, and the building of smart factories, digital supply chains and high-standard service centers. In the trend of digitalization around the world, the integrated development of intelligent technologies and manufacturing industry is promising.
Policy
1. China issued an action plan on advancing smart agriculture (2024-2028). According to the plan, the public service capacity of smart agriculture will be enhanced and the informatization of agricultural production will be more than 32 percent by the end of 2028, said Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.
2. China will conduct a gradient (progressive) cultivation campaign for the country's smart factories, according to a circular jointly issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and five other government authorities. It stated that gradient cultivation for the smart factories will be carried out at four levels, namely, basic level, advanced level, excellent level, and leading level.
3. China released a set of guidelines on boosting the use of renewable energy amid efforts to cut fossil fuel consumption in green energy transition. The guidelines, issued by the National Development and Reform Commission and five other government departments, outline China's goal to replace traditional fuel with renewable energy. The guidelines note that China's renewable energy consumption is expected to exceed the equivalent of 1.5 billion tonnes of standard coal by 2030, facilitating the process of achieving carbon peak.

1. According to the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the number of national social security card holders has reached 1.386 billion, covering 98.3 percent of the population.
2. According to the Civil Aviation Administration of China, in the third quarter of this year, the total transport turnover of the civil aviation industry was 40.35 billion tons kilometers, 200 million passengers were transported, and 2.315 million tons of cargo and mail were transported, up 19.8 percent, 12.3 percent and 19.4 percent respectively. The transportation scale reached a record high.
3. According to data released by the State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE), the total foreign ownership of domestic RMB bonds has reached a historic high of over 640 billion US dollars so far.
4. Up to now, there have been more than 17,000 drone operating enterprises in China, and more than 2 million real-name drones have been registered nationwide. China has been ranked the world's largest exporter of civilian drones for many years. The number of patent applications in the field of drones accounts for more than 70 percent of the world's total, becoming the world's largest technology source country.
5. Data shows that in the past five years, China has issued a total of 1,610 national food safety standards, of which 47 new standards have been approved and released this year.
6. According to the China Non-Ferrous Metals Industry Association, in the first three quarters, the industrial added value of non-ferrous metals enterprises above designated size in China increased by 9.7 percent year-on-year. The output of ten kinds of non-ferrous metals was 58.74 million tons, up 5.6 percent year-on-year.
7. The Ministry of Finance issued RMB 5 billion of Treasury bonds in Macao on October 30. This is the third consecutive year that the central government has issued treasury bonds in Macao.
8. According to the Ministry of Transport, since the beginning of this year, the Ministry of Transport has issued a total of RMB 315.7 billion of vehicle purchase tax funds to support local transport development.
9. According to the National Energy Administration, in the first three quarters of this year, China's new installed capacity of renewable energy power generation exceeded 200 million kilowatts, accounting for more than 80 percent of the newly installed capacity of electricity.
10. The website of the People's Bank of China showed on October 31 that overseas institutions and individuals held RMB 3134.718 billion of domestic stocks at the end of September, an increase of RMB 657.56 billion from 2477.158 billion yuan at the end of August.
