ISLAMABAD, Jan 29 (China Economic Net) – On the auspicious occasion of the Chinese New Year 2025, which marks the Year of the Snake in its lunar calendar, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended congratulations to the people of China, acknowledging the immense progress and transformative journey of the nation under its visionary leadership.

 

In his message, the Prime Minister commended China’s remarkable progress, which he described as one of the defining themes of the 21st century. “For us in Pakistan, China's success story serves as a beacon of inspiration and confidence. Pakistan and China share an enduring bond of friendship, a relationship that has been nurtured from generation to generation. This iron brotherhood continues to be a cornerstone of Pakistan's foreign policy, reflecting the deep respect and admiration our nations hold for each other,” said the Prime Minister. 

 

The Chinese New Year, he noted, signifies renewal, transformation, and the promise of new beginnings. “The Year of the Snake, a symbol of wisdom and vitality, reminds us of the importance of resilience and collective strength as we take on the challenges and strive for a brighter future,” the Prime Minister said.

 

Expressing confidence in the enduring partnership, the Prime Minister emphasized that Pakistan and China are united in their commitment to global development. “Thanks to our deep and abiding friendship, Pakistan and China stand united in their unwavering commitment to a better world. Together we shall continue to make meaningful contribution to global peace, prosperity, and harmony,” he added.
