China unveils logo and mascot for its pavilion at the Expo 2025 Osaka
BEIJING, Feb. 28 (China Economic Net) - China has revealed its logo and mascot for the upcoming Expo 2025 Osaka, showcasing a fusion of traditional Chinese culture and modern design.

At a press conference held in Beijing on February 28, Yang Fan, spokesperson of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), shared that the logo, designed for the China Pavilion, draws inspiration from the ancient Seal Script of the "Stone Drum Inscriptions," one of China’s earliest forms of carved writing. Yang explained that the design showcases a distinct Chinese flavor to the global audience. The Seal Script is known for its square, elegant, and dignified characters, which carry deep historical and cultural significance.
The logo combines this ancient style with contemporary design elements, creating a modern "seal" effect that embodies a symmetrical, balanced beauty with Eastern aesthetic appeal. The dominant color of the logo is China Red, symbolizing passion, vibrancy, and celebration, with the word "China" in a clear, simple manner that makes it instantly recognizable across the globe.
“We hope this logo will extend an invitation to the world, warmly welcoming every visitor with the essence of classic Chinese culture,” said Yang.

In addition to the logo, the mascot for the Chinese Pavilion, a panda, was also revealed during the event. The presence of the panda is meant to highlight China’s commitment to biodiversity conservation and its vision for building a harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.
The Expo 2025 Osaka, which will be held in Japan from April 13 to October 13, 2025, is themed "Designing Future Society for Our Lives." The China Pavilion, one of the largest foreign self-built pavilions at the Expo, will focus on the theme of “Building a Community of Life For Man And Nature — Future Society of Green Development.”
