Pakistani Embassy in Beijing commemorates National Day with grand reception

BEIJING, Mar 21 (China Economic Net) - The Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing hosted a grand reception on Thursday to commemorate Pakistan’s National Day, commemorating the historic Pakistan Resolution adopted on March 23, 1940 in Lahore. The event saw a distinguished gathering of senior Chinese officials, diplomats, representatives of enterprises, academics, media personnel, and members of the Pakistani community in China.
In his keynote address, H.E.Khalil Hashmi, Ambassador of Pakistan to China, highlighted Pakistan’s positive economic trajectory and emphasized the importance of strengthening business, science and technology, education, culture, and people-to-people exchanges between Pakistan and China.
He also reflected on the deep-rooted China-Pakistan ties, tracing them back to the ancient Silk Road. He underscored the foundation of the bilateral relationship, built on mutual trust, respect, and a shared vision for regional peace and stability.
"At the core of this partnership is the people-to-people ties that make this relationship special. Over 25,000 Pakistani students are studying in China, contributing to a future of mutual learning and shared innovation. Pakistani and Chinese businesses, professionals, and entrepreneurs are strengthening ties in finance, health, technology, and culture”, he added.
The event also featured cultural performances by Chinese and Pakistani children, showcasing the strong cultural ties and people-to-people connections between the two nations.
