KUNMING, Jun. 20 (China Economic Net) - The 6th China-South Asia Cooperation Forum was held in Kunming, also known as the "Spring City" of China. Representatives from Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, the Maldives, Nepal, India, Sri Lanka, the United Arab Emirates, and other countries from the Indian Ocean region are attending and delivering speeches.

Mr. Imran Ahmed Siddiqui, Additional Secretary for Asia Pacific, spoke on behalf of Pakistan. He stated: “Connectivity lies at the heart of Pakistan’s business strategy. We are expanding our transport and logistics infrastructure. I see this forum as an opportunity to enhance our connectivity, simplify visa procedures, and facilitate smoother movement of people and goods.”

He also emphasized that China-Pakistan cooperation serves as a successful model for regional collaboration across South Asia.

The forum is part of the ongoing China-South Asia Expo, which this year features participation from approximately 140 Pakistani enterprises.
