BEIJING, July 7 (China Economic Net) - On July 1, China State Construction Third Engineering Bureau Group (CSCEC3B) hosted the 3rd Open Day event in Beijing, under the theme of "Witness Happiness · Cultural Integration and Dissemination". A seven-member Pakistan media delegation, including Muhammad Ovais Jan, CEO and Chairman of Vsh Group, Nasim Haider Naqvi, Editor-in-Chief of GEO News, and representatives from GTN News and Metro1 News, made an inspection tour at CSCEC3B. Their visits to specific projects highlighted China's new infrastructure and the stories of people-to-people ties between the two nations.

The delegation conducted an on-site visit to the Beijing Southeast Expressway Smart Logistics Port, a project contracted and constructed by CSCEC3B. As one of Beijing's "Three 100" key projects – comprising 100 projects in science and technology innovation and cutting-edge industries, 100 infrastructure projects, and 100 livelihood improvement projects – and a major infrastructure initiative under China’s 14th Five-Year Plan, the project serves as a strategic logistics hub for the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area. With a focus on cold chain logistics, it is designed to support full-temperature capabilities, including dry, normal temperature, freezer, variable temperature, and ultra-low temperature warehousing. This advancement is pivotal for bolstering Beijing's cold chain transportation framework, boasting an internationally advanced temperature control precision of ±0.5°C.

During the tour, the delegation expressed great interest in the project’s carbon dioxide trans-critical refrigeration technology. This eco-friendly system uses carbon dioxide instead of traditional Freon refrigerants, mitigating harm to the ozone layer. Project manager Feng Jingling explained that the technology is non-toxic, non-flammable, and stable, ensuring the safety of both staff and stored goods. The system also repurposes residual heat generated during operation, reducing energy consumption and operational costs. Furthermore, the extensive installation of solar photovoltaic panels on the warehouse roof underscores the project's commitment to green and low-carbon principles.

"The visit profoundly revealed the innovation and vitality of Chinese enterprises in the cold chain technology sector," remarked Imtiaz Ali, anchor of Metro1 News.

In the standard low-temperature cold storage area, the delegation gained insights into the process of frozen food storage. Hum News TV's news editor, Syed Arfeen Mehdi, stated, "I hope that one day we see products from Pakistan in this storage facility." In the high-temperature storage area, the delegation examined the temperature regulation system of the constant-temperature cold storage unit.

During the experience session, the delegation had the opportunity to learn about the ultra-low temperature storage environment at minus 50°C and the accompanying protective measures with guidance from the project manager.

Following the tour, a meeting session was held. Li Liangyuan, Vice President of China State Construction Third Engineering Bureau Group International Li emphasized that the enduring friendship between China and Pakistan will continue to flourish. He noted that CSCEC3B is committed to maintaining high standards in its operations in Pakistan, contributing to the local economy and society, and serving as a bridge fostering cultural integration. He also expressed intention to establish a regular communication and cooperation mechanism with Pakistani mainstream media to highlight key CSCEC3B projects in Pakistan, promote mutually beneficial cooperation, and strengthen understanding between the people of both nations, thereby supporting the high-quality development of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
