"Thank you for your full support for the project. We look forward to further collaboration in the future to jointly serve the city's economic development." "Thanks to your guidance and services, we can now smoothly proceed with our operations." On July 15, officials from the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau of Long’an District, Anyang and representatives of Long’an Wanda Plaza visited the State Grid Anyang Power Supply Company to present banners of appreciation, recognizing the company’s high-quality and efficient support for the Long’an Wanda project.

Located at the southwest corner of the intersection of Wenfeng Avenue and Ganghua Road, Long’an Wanda Plaza covers an area of approximately 69 mu (about 11.4 acres) with a total investment of 1.23 billion yuan. It is a key livelihood and investment attraction project in Anyang. The project has injected new vitality into the city’s economic recovery and development, and the supporting infrastructure being built around it is expected to significantly improve living and business conditions for nearby residents and merchants.
Electricity is the lifeblood of economic development. During the early planning stage of the Long’an Wanda project, the State Grid Anyang Power Supply Company proactively contacted project managers via the Municipal Development and Reform Commission to understand the project layout and guide them in preparing the necessary power application documents in advance, ensuring a smooth and efficient application process later on.
Construction began in early 2023. In accordance with principles of proximity, reliability, and adequate power capacity, the State Grid Anyang Power Supply Company promptly coordinated internal departments and implemented a temporary power supply plan to guarantee electricity during the construction phase. On December 27, 2023, the project team applied for permanent power connection through the State Grid's online platform. Upon receiving the application, a customer manager immediately visited the site to collect documents and conduct an inspection. Based on nearby power access and the project’s actual needs, a dual power supply plan was proposed using dedicated lines.
“Shopping malls are high-traffic areas, and reliable power is critical to their safe and orderly operation,” said Li Weijun, the customer manager in charge. “By supplying power through the 110kV Dongfeng and Louzhuang substations, we significantly improve power reliability and help ensure a smooth business and consumer experience.”
The “one project, one manager, full accountability” model lies at the heart of the State Grid Anyang Power Supply Company’s "Chief Service Officer" initiative. The company maintained close communication with Long’an Wanda and followed the entire project process. It developed a detailed project schedule aligned with construction timelines, identifying key milestones, regularly tracking progress, and updating plans weekly.
During a site visit on May 6 this year, the team learned that the Long’an project was scheduled to open in September. In response, departments including marketing, substation, dispatching, and distribution worked together to accelerate equipment upgrades, grid connections, and system testing at the two substations designated as power sources, ensuring high-quality “electricity-first” support for the project. Meanwhile, the frequency of on-site inspections and technical guidance at the user-side switch station and other electrical facilities was increased to ensure seamless progression under the principle of “build, inspect, rectify, and connect”—with no delays between stages.

On July 4, Long’an Wanda Plaza’s switch station and other permanent power facilities were successfully connected to the grid—21 days ahead of schedule. “Early activation of permanent power equipment gives the project valuable time for internal system testing and fire safety inspections before opening,” said Li Weijun. A regular communication mechanism has now been established with Long’an Wanda to monitor and respond to electricity needs both before and after its opening, ensuring reliable guidance and professional support to power the local economy.
