BEIJING, Sept. 11 (China Economic Net) - Australia officially opened its National Pavilion on September 10, 2025, at the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) in Beijing, marking its debut as Guest Country of Honour at a national-level trade show in China.
The opening ceremony featured the signing of 15 collaboration agreements, covering cooperation in education, financial services, medical and health, cultural exchange and consumer industries.
The Pavilion is the largest at CIFTIS to date for a Guest Country of Honour, tripling in size compared with last year, and features innovative design to highlight a modern, inclusive and dynamic Australia. Nearly 60 Australian organisations and companies are showcasing capabilities across areas such as the green economy, education, tourism, food and consumer goods, financial services and health.
“Australia is a world-class provider of services, including in education, tourism, financial services and energy/environmental services. Australia is committed to the Chinese market and our service providers are ready and willing to develop new partnerships. CIFTIS is a great platform providing opportunities to showcase Australia’s capabilities in services and other sectors, and for Australian and Chinese organisations and businesses to get connected for future cooperation,” noted Dominic Trindade, General Manager at the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade).
Australia’s participation in CIFTIS 2025, led by the Austrade, highlights the country’s innovative solutions and strong commitment to the Chinese market. Supported by major partners including ANZ, Adelaide University, CPA Australia and Tourism Australia, the Pavilion also hosts seminars, workshops, and livestream sessions to present premium Australian food and consumer products to audiences in China and beyond.
