BEIJING, Oct 29 (China Economic Net) - Pakistan's Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, has lauded China's vision for high-quality and innovation-driven growth outlined in its upcoming 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030), describing it as a significant roadmap for modernization and scientific advancement.
In an exclusive interview with China Economic Net, Ambassador Hashmi said the recommendations put forward for the new plan reflect a clear direction toward innovation, value addition, and technological progress. “The main objectives of the recommendations that have been put forward so far in the 15th Five-Year Plan are high-quality development, innovation, and a value-added science and technology direction of modernization,” he noted.
The ambassador said the plan envisions comprehensive progress across economic and defense sectors, emphasizing that innovation and high-quality development will remain central to every field. “Its formal adoption will take place in March, but it is a very important document and plans for the next five years are in it. Our best wishes are with the Chinese government in this regard,” he added.
The 15th Five-Year Plan is expected to guide China’s economic and social development through 2030, with a focus on self-reliance in science and technology, green transformation, and balanced regional development.
