Embracing the theme "Gathering Premium Agricultural Products, Sharing Free Trade Port Opportunities," this year's expo highlights international trade and cooperation prospects linked to the Hainan Free Trade Port. It offers a comprehensive display of global achievements in tropical agriculture. Pakistan shares the country of honor status with Thailand, while China's Sichuan province is the guest-of-honor province.
The event spans over 75,000 square meters and features nine main exhibition zones. It has drawn over 2,000 enterprises from 16 countries and regions, featuring more than 10,000 distinct products and attracting approximately 25,000 professional visitors.
At the Pakistan pavilion, five enterprises are presenting a range of high-quality goods including juices, cookies, dry fruits, saffron and handicrafts, which attracted great interest from buyers and visitors.
Attending the opening ceremony of the expo and visiting the Pakistan Pavilion, Muhammad Imran, Pakistan's Trade and Investment Counsellor in Guangzhou, highlighted the strong potential of the expo to promote Pakistani food and agricultural products.
"The expo holds significant potential to promote Pakistani products, given the strong attendance from across southern China and beyond," Imran stated. He further expressed optimism for future participation, noting that "Pakistani products like sesame seeds, rice, and pine nuts can be of great appeal in the next edition of the exhibition."
