BEIJING, Dec 25 (China Economic Net) - The ninth China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Media Forum was successfully held in Pakistan on December 24, Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said on Thursday.
Lin made the remarks at a regular news briefing when asked to comment on the ninth CPEC Media Forum recently held in a hybrid online and offline format, with officials from the governments of the two countries and media representatives in attendance.
Lin said the forum was hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan and organized by China Economic Net and Pakistan-China Institute. Representatives from the Chinese and Pakistani governments, media and think tanks attended the forum. They spoke highly of the development achievement of CPEC and noted that media of the two countries need to enhance exchanges and cooperation and make active effort to carry forward the friendship between the two countries.
China and Pakistan are iron-clad friends and all-weather strategic cooperative partners. China stands ready to deepen exchanges and cooperation with Pakistan in media and various fields, enhance mutual understanding between the two peoples, promote sound public opinion for robust China-Pakistan ties and the development of CPEC 2.0, and accelerate the building of an even closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future in the new era, he said.
