Twin China-Pakistan vocational excellence centers launched in Islamabad to mark 75 years of diplomatic ties

ISLAMABAD, May 13 (China Economic Net) - Two China-Pakistan vocational training centers of excellence were inaugurated at a ceremony in Islamabad on May 12, marking a step forward in skills cooperation as the two countries celebrate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations.

The China-Pakistan New Energy Vehicle High-Skilled Talent Training Center of Excellence brings together the Prime Minister’s Youth Program of Pakistan, Hunan Automotive Engineering Vocational University, MG Motors Pakistan, the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) of Pakistan, ITMC (China) Co., Ltd., and UNI International. Its counterpart, the China-Pakistan Postal and Courier Workshop, is backed by the Prime Minister’s Youth Program, Shijiazhuang Posts and Telecommunications Technical College, the China-Pakistan Digital Education Alliance, NAVTTC, ITMC (China) Co., Ltd., and UNI International.

The newly launched NEV center aims to leverage China’s advanced vocational education resources to build a localized training platform that integrates talent development, skills certification and industrial services. It will introduce Chinese vocational education standards for NEV maintenance, diagnostics and related digital skills, including specialized curricula, localized teacher training programs, teaching equipment, examination software and a vocational certification system.

Similarly, the China-Pakistan Postal and Courier Workshop will introduce China’s advanced vocational education standards in postal and courier services, e-commerce and related digital skills. It will equip Pakistani youth with systematic training while providing skilled talents to Chinese enterprises operating under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in Pakistan.
