One missing, 4,000 relocated after flood hits N China
A flooded residential area is seen in Yiminhe Township, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, May 9, 2013. One person is missing and about 4,000 people have been forced to relocate after a flood hit Inner Mongolia, local authorities said Thursday. The flood was caused by melting snow that led to rising water levels, which went above the warning line of a local reservoir. On Monday, the reservoir began to release water into downstream Yimin River, which overflowed to nearby towns and villages. (Xinhua/Zou Jianpu)
