Midwestern US school in lockdown after bullets found
A local high school in the US state of Ohio was placed under lockdown after live ammunition was found inside the school building Friday morning, according to local media.
A Fox News report identified the school as Eastwood High School in Pemberville, northeastern Ohio. The report quoted Superintendent Brent Welker as saying that live ammunition shells were found inside the high school's bathroom before the start of school Friday.
In a voicemail to members of the Eastwood School District, Welker assured parents that all students were safe but the building would remain on lockdown until he was given the all clear.
No other information was available at the moment.
Further investigation was under way over the findings.
