Top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) Kim Jong Un said Sunday that the country would develop "the self-reliant nuclear power industry."

The DPRK would develop "light water reactor," in order to ease the strain on the country's electricity supply, Kim told a plenary meeting of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), the official KCNA news agency reported.
