Tunisian ro-ro ship collides with Cypriot container ship off Corsica island
Tunisian ro-ro ship "Ulysses" collided with a Cypriot container ship "CLS Virginia" off the island of Corsica, Tunisian Navigation Company (CTN) announced Sunday.
The CTN specified that his ro-ro ship "Ulysses" is still functional and operational, reporting no human injuries out of the collision.
"This happened around 7:30 a.m. local time (0630 GMT), 28 km northwest of Cap Corse," according to a statement from the Maritime Prefecture of the Channel and the Mediterranean.
The same source added the collision caused considerable damage, with a crack measuring several meters long in the CLS Virginia's hull.
